Eating: I'm waiting to eat Akita's hot pot that I hear boiling. This bubbling sound is saying "Welcome" to me in the local language. I enjoyed Akita's food coming from the earth, air and sky. Drinking: I was fascinated by a sweet taste in my mouth. Quaffing the mild sake of Akita. Sometimes with friends and sometimes alone. Boisterously or quietly. I enjoyed the delicious taste. Famous Akita BBQ skewered rice balls that look like "Tanpo" (i.e. cotton balls). And since "kiri" means "cutting", the name of this famous snack quite literally means "cutting the cotton ball" naturally describing this famous snack. |
